Heat Pumps

Summary: Install a heat pump for energy efficiency

Description

Install heat pumps in your home

Heat pumps are highly efficient systems and provide both heating and cooling through the same system. There are a variety of heat pump systems available to suit all types of new and older homes. They can replace or supplement your conventional electric, oil, gas, or propane heating systems, including homes with radiators. A licensed contractor can help you select the heat pump system that's best for your needs.

In addition, Mass Save offers significant savings on heat pumps if you have completed weatherization recommendations made during a Home Energy Assessment.  Cooler Communities and Homeworks Energy , a contractor certified to perform Mass Save home energy assessments, have partnered to encourage residents to sign up for assessments.  Homeworks Energy will donate $50 to Cooler Communities for every completed home energy assessment signed up through the partnership. All funds raised through this program will flow straight back into the schools and student projects Cooler Communities works with.

Homeworks Energy can also install heat pumps.  We do recommend that you learn more about heat pumps and get price quotes from two or three contractors.  Green Energy Consumers Alliance, a nonprofit that advises consumers on green energy solutions, has more information about heat pumps, installers, and Mass Save financial incentives.
