An Environment for All People
Summary: Pollution and climate change impact people of color especially hard. Learn about their experiences, work and priorities.
When: Nov 01, 2020
Time:23:30 - 23:45
Description
Even though so called mainstream climate work has looked very white over the past decades, people of color have always been contributing to the question of what a livable, healthy, thriving and just world would look like. They also suffer disproportionately from the effects of pollution and climate change. We cannot address climate change without these voices. Hear from and speak with Maya Richards (Multicultural Bridge), Anaelisa Jacobson (Manos Unidas), Ace McAllister (BEAT), and Jamuna Sirker (Pittsfield Public Schools).
