I bought a Hyandai Konu from Haddad in June 2019. Now two of my friends/ clients have the same model. It's a lovely car, not huge, but the range is good: between 200 and 320 miles per charge, depending on the season and whether I drive free-way or local roads. My husband was quite skeptical at first, but he now really loves the car - and loves borrowing it! We sure had a learning curve when we took it to DC the first time, realizing you need to plan ahead a little for these longer trips. And fast charging on the freeways can be expensive. But 95% of my miles are driven locally, and after installing a 220 charger at our house, I never have to worry about running out of power. And as a community solar customer, all my power for the car comes from the sun. Electric cars are not the be-all and end-all, we still need car-sharing and better public transportation, but electric driving is a great step forward.
